International Visitor Groups
To ensure intellectual diversity, fellows will be recruited from five key regions:
- The Americas: USA, Canada, and Latin American nations.
- Europe & Africa: European nations and African nations.
- Russia & Central/West Asia: Russia and nations from Central and West Asia.
- East Asia Hub: Japan, The Republic of Korea, Singapore.
- South Asia & Oceania: India, Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asian nations.
Fellowship Award
- Each selected International Fellow will receive a comprehensive grant of USD 10,000 to support a 1-month research visit to one supporting institution.
- Grant coverage: International travel, accommodation, and a living stipend.
Nomination & Selection
- The Selection Committee solicits and reviews nominations.
- Core selection criteria:
- Scientific excellence of the candidate.
- Potential for fruitful collaboration with host institutions.
- Priority for projects related to AI and its mathematical underpinnings.
- A core principle: Commitment to fostering talent from developing nations.
Collaborative Environment
- Bringing fellows from diverse regions together at host centers enables unparalleled idea cross-pollination and global network building.
- The structure is designed to let visitors learn from peers’ varied perspectives and experiences worldwide.
Hosting
- Fellows may conduct visits at the supporting institution that best aligns with their research interests, subject to mutual agreement between the fellow and the institution.
